Our Seminars

Our seminar series is for building professionals engaged in improving the sustainability of the built environment, who want to learn more about how to manage projects and project teams to produce sustainable buildings. Sustainable buildings are beneficial to their end-users; they are built productively with environmental and social sensitivity. This can only happen if everybody involved in making and using a building participates in the design, when their input is most useful and if the whole process is managed well. An integrated and holistic project management approach requires a new mindest and novel methods.

We teach our clients to make informed decisions on the ecologicial impact and relative cost of choices made in designing and constructing buildings. Our goal is to promote ecological building at the same or lower cost then "standard" buildings.

The ACE Academy provides extensive expertise and training in the fields of sustainable architecture, low-carbon engineering, research and policy consulting. Find out more about our policy and our consultants.

The seminar series includes the following topics:

1. Principals of Building Energy Efficiency and integrated Building Design

Energy efficiency means lower energy costs. Careful planning can produce buildings of high efficiency at little or no extra cost. Integrated building design brings together all involved parties - engineers, builders and owners - to develop the optimal building energy solution. Details
