Ecology Award of the city of Vienna

Ecology Award of the city of Vienna

In 1992, the City of Vienna invited to an open tender for an ecologically friendly building, in terms of heating and loss of heat. The project Dr. Lari handed in to this tender was then awarded with the third place of the Ecology Prize of 1992 (“Ökologiepreis 1992”). The building designed by Dr. Lari was one of the first buildings in an urban situation at the low‐energy standard. The prize was awarded to the submitted projects, which presented the best work and research done in the field of housing with respect to ecology. Dr. Lari won the prize because his project was one of the top three that promised
the best achievements in favor of the environment. The prize was presented to the winners by the local councilor at the time, Mag. Christoph Chorherr. The first prize was compiled of the architectural contract and prize money and the second and third prize were rewarded with prize money. Dr. Lari, having won the third place was rewarded with approximately €30.000,00.
