Dr. Lari was awarded several prizes and awards in the course of his career which were significant for the development of the concept of green buildings. He was a pioneer in this category since 1990. One state‐of‐the‐art project he produced is the solar housing development “Plabutsch” in Graz, Austria. This apartment complex set a new standard in terms of green building. This building has achieved lowest possible energy needs without the use of expensive and complicated technology. Dr. Lari’s thesis, that the end‐user behavior is determinative with regards to energy consumption and energy needs could be proven correct in a scientific survey he drafted and which was sponsored by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Economy and Employment. Other projects of his were also awarded with prizes, such as the “Owainati Office Center” in Amman, Jordan, the Holiday In hotel he designed with the low‐energystandard in Jordan or his project where solar facilities were installed for warm water production in towns in Iran. Dr. Lari’s focus on ecological construction has received recognition by means of awards. Dr. Lari is an expert in the field of green building and energy efficiency. The awards and prizes his works were honored with deliver the proof to this. The awards were governmental and non‐governmental tributes which made him an accredited
pioneer in his field.
