Austrian Consulting Award 1998

The project comprised the conception, plannung and construction supervision of a 9 storey multi-functional office block in Amman with a useful space of approx. 7,000 m2. The jury considered the Owainati Office Center worthy of a nomination due to the successful combination of architectural design, energy saving (i.e. reducting energy costs) measures and cost efficiency (the specific construction costs were approximately ATS 3,4000 per square metre of useful surface area).

Also taken into account was the fact that the export of Austrian architectural and engineering services to Jordan requires a special effort as this country traditionally looks to Great Britain and the USA.

The project was honoured with a nomination for the Austrian Consulting Award 1998.
